I am going over budget because of the rehearsal dinner. Traditionally, the grooms parents are supposed to pay for the rehearsal dinner. And my hubbie said he wanted a traditional wedding, so I didn't account for that cost in the wedding budget. Now the date is fast approaching and I have no idea how to pay for it. Please help!
Hi there, I have a few ideas. How about doing a pot luck in the park instead of the whole restaurant deal? That would be more family-oriented and cut down on the costs and headache of coordinating with a restaurant. You could also just cut it completely. You do haave to do it. Only if you want to. I don't even know where this tradition started. Do you? Haha!
Hope this helps!
Is your house big enough to fit people? Do you have a friend of family member with a large house?
My friend had his rehearsal at his future Aunt-in-Law’s house. They did a Mexican theme with stuff from a party store and had chips, salsa and tacos. Cheap, easy and fun.
Also make sure not to invite the whole world. Just invite parents, wedding party and spouses. That will save on the cost as well.
