Simone Feldman, a lifelong resident of North Potomac, Maryland, was crowned Miss Maryland USA 2010 on November 1, 2009 at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center. Simone, 23, is the only daughter of William and Georgette Feldman. Simone is very proud to represent the fantastic State of Maryland in the upcoming 2010 Miss USA pageant.

Simone's family has always been a very important part of her life. Her mother’s and father's compassion and support have helped her to become the person she is today. She is very thankful to have such a caring family and knows that they will always be there to help her in all her endeavors.

Simone recently graduated from the University of Maryland College Park, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, with an additional focus on Community and Public Health. Simone was the secretary of the Pre-Dental Society at the University of Maryland. Her passion for helping others led her down the path of Biology with initial hopes of becoming a dentist. Since graduation she has shifted her focus towards becoming a lawyer with hopes of becoming an advocate for her community by integrating her science background with the law. Simone is also interested in commercial broadcasting and hopes that throughout the next year, doors may open to pursue this interest.

Simone is enthusiastic about making the most of her year as Miss Maryland USA 2010. She looks forward to the opportunities that will become available to her. Simone enjoys working with children through K.E.E.N. (Kids Enjoy Exercise Now) and Best Buddies. She looks forward to working more with these organizations and others in the future. Simone is dedicated to being a positive role model for young women, and hopes that her title will help her to achieve this goal. She plans to achieve this goal by speaking to young women about her past experiences and the importance of goal setting and self confidence in succeeding in life.
