A bit about Miss Ortiz:
Nicole Ortiz is the newly crowned Miss Maryland United States 2009. Born and raised in Baltimore, she is honored to be representing her home state at Miss United States in Las Vegas! Her favorite part of the competition? Evening gown. Just as a bride looks forward to her big day in the dress of her dreams, Nicole looks forward to her own day in the spotlight at the upcoming national pageant. Currently a full time student, pursuing her MBA in Finance and Marketing at the Loyola College in Maryland, she also advocates for her personal platform, "No Body's Perfect," which aims to promote education on the prevention of eating disorders.
